Evgeny Reyzman has been practicing law in the former USSR and in Russia since 1983, he has a wide range of litigation experience and specializes in Russian labor law. He has litigated on employment and criminal matters in Russian courts of general jurisdiction.

Representative Legal Matters
  • Provided a number of multinational companies with on-going advice on broad scope of employment and migration issues, structuring of HR operations during COVID-19 lockdown and the current crisis.
  • Successfully represented the Association of European Businesses in a complicated employment dispute with its ex-CEO who claimed for a significant termination benefit («golden parachute»).
  • Successfully supported a worldwide corporation — developer, manufacturer, and supplier of industrial refrigeration and freezer technology — in a complicated labor dispute with an ex-employee who claimed for a significant termination benefit («golden parachute»).
  • Advised Accenture on employment issues; supported major HR restructuring, advised the client on structuring of HR operations during COVID-19 lockdown.
  • Advised Fluor on employment issues and on structuring of HR operations during COVID-19 restrictions.
  • Provided American Joint Jewish Distribution Committee with on-going advice on employment issues, advised the client on structuring of HR operations during COVID-19 lockdown.
  • Represented a major worldwide provider of engineering services in oil & gas and other industries in a number of complicated individual employment disputes arising out of the client’s operations in the Far East of Russia.
  • Defended foreign nationals in criminal proceedings in Russia in relation to accusations of illegal diamond trade and infliction of damages via deceit and abuse of trust.
  • Advised a multinational engineering and construction firm on a broad scope of Russian law issues (benefits to employees working in the Far North regions, compensation to employees working on hourly rates for non-working days of public holidays, etc.) in connection with a potential discrimination claim arising out of the specifics of the client’s compensation rate calculation.
  • Advised an IT management software and solutions company on urgent termination of employment contracts with more than half of its Moscow office staff, formalization of urgent employee dismissals.
