Melling, Voitishkin & Partners provide comprehensive legal support to Yandex B2B Tech, the Yandex division focused on developing solutions for the corporate sector, with the establishment of a joint venture with SolidSoft, one of Russia’s leading developers of Web Application Firewall (WAF) solutions for web application defenses.
The joint venture will develop novel cybersecurity tools designed to help businesses safeguard their web applications from attacks and other modern threats. A unique aspect of the project is that the resulting deliverables will be available both in the cloud and on-premises, allowing customers to deploy them using their own infrastructure. The partners also intend to leverage each other’s experience and technologies to enhance client protection by harnessing artificial intelligence (AI).
Yandex and SolidSoft will own the JV equally, with Yandex acquiring its 50% stake from SolidSoft. Yandex will also have the option to increase its stake in the future.
We advised Yandex B2B Tech on all aspects of the JV’s establishment, including, but not limited to, corporate law and intellectual property issues.
