This Privacy Policy governs the processing of personal data that we collect using the website mv.legal («Website»).

Baker & McKenzie — CIS, Limited, White Gardens, 10th Floor, 9 Lesnaya Street, Moscow, 125196, Russia and BolloevCenter, 2nd Floor, 4A Grivtsova Lane, St. Petersburg, 190031, Russia (hereinafter also referred to as «Baker & McKenzie — CIS, Limited», «we») acts as the data controller in relation to such personal data.

What personal data we collect using the Website

Data we collect automatically:

The Website may automatically collect information about its usage. In particular, we may process information about your IP address, device, operating system and browser, your activities on the Website (for example, pages visited, date and time of access, favorite content, etc.).

Such information can be obtained by various methods, such as using cookies. We do not match the information you provide with automatically processed data and do not use such data to identify you.

We use this information to operate and improve the functioning of the Website.

We rely on your consent to the use of cookies, which you provide when using the Website. You can set your browser so that no cookies are stored on your device, or so that a notification appears each time a new cookie is installed. However, full deactivation of cookies may result in you not being able to fully use all the functions of the Website.

In addition, we are guided by our legitimate interest in operating and exercising control over the Website when we process such data.

Data that you provide:

We may collect and process personal data that you provide through the relevant forms on the Website — for example, when you subscribe to our digest or send your CV. Such data may include full name, contact details (address, e-mail, telephone number), as well as other data indicated in the relevant form or attached documents.

We use the information provided in the digest subscription form to carry out information exchange and communications — to send you our digests and other useful material.

If you send us your CV, we may process your personal data for the purposes of recruitment, including considering you as a candidate for vacant positions and (or) replenishing the talent pool.

In both cases, we process such data on the basis of your consent, which you provide when completing the relevant form.

You can always withdraw your consent by sending us a notice (see Section «How to contact us»). If you have subscribed to our digest, you can opt out of receiving it using the special option contained in each email.

How we process personal data

We carry out automated and non-automated processing of personal data (mixed processing) by performing the following actions: collection, recording, systematization, accumulation, storage, clarification (updating, amendment), retrieval, use, transfer (provision, access), blocking, deletion and destruction.

When collecting personal data of citizens of the Russian Federation we ensure the recording, systematization, accumulation, storage, clarification (updating, amendment) and retrieval of personal data with the use of databases located on the territory of the Russian Federation.

We store personal data for no longer than is necessary for the purposes of processing. Upon achieving the purposes of processing, we stop processing and delete personal data within the timelines established by law. If we find your CV interesting, but we do not have any appropriate vacancies for you, we can add it to our talent pool and come back with relevant career opportunities later. We store CVs in the talent pool for up to 10 years, but you can always contact us and ask us to remove your data from our database of potential candidates.

In some cases, if we have other legal grounds for processing, we may continue to process personal data even after your withdrawal of consent — for example, if it is necessary to fulfill our obligations under applicable law or if such processing is necessary for the exercise of our rights and legitimate interests.

We take the necessary legal, organizational and technical measures to protect personal data from unauthorized or accidental access, destruction, modification, blocking, copying, provision, and distribution, as well as from other illegal actions in relation to personal data.

Your rights

You have all the rights granted to personal data subjects in accordance with applicable law; specifically you can:

  • request clarification of your personal data, its blocking or destruction if personal data is incomplete, outdated, unreliable, illegally obtained or not necessary for the indicated purpose of processing, as well as take legal measures to protect your rights,

  • obtain access to your personal data in the manner prescribed by law,

  • appeal to the authorized body for the protection of the rights of personal data subjects or in court against illegal actions or inaction in the processing of personal data,

  • withdraw your consent to the processing of your personal data.

Transfer to third parties

We may engage third parties to operate and support the Website. When engaging such persons, we may transfer your personal data to them (provide them with access to your personal data) and (or) instruct them to process such data.

When transferring (issuing instructions on the processing of) personal data, we require such third parties to ensure the confidentiality and security of your personal data. Such third parties process your personal data solely for the purposes and within the limits specified in this Policy.

We may also share your personal data when we are required to do so by applicable law, e.g., at a legitimate official request from a government body.
