Biography

Ivan Chuprunov is a highly experienced M&A lawyer with over 19 years of experience advising on complex private and public M&A transactions, joint ventures, VC, PE transactions and various corporate law issues.

His special focus is the Technology sector where he has advised on some of the landmark transactions and has worked across different segments such as e-commerce, payment and financial services, e-classifieds, video on demand, e-media, ridesharing.

Representative Legal Matters

Advised Prosus on divestments of OLX businesses in Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan (the leading e-classifieds platforms in the relevant markets).
Advised Prosus on the sale of Avito to Kismet Group as well as on their exit from the other Russian investments.
Advised various international investors on their exit from Russia, shareholder arrangements within existing joint ventures, and disputes with Russian counterparties.
Advised Kismet on the acquisition of Russian Towers from UFG.
Advised Uralkali on the acquisition of FertGrow, one of the largest fertilizer distributors in Brazil.

Advised leading Russian private equity funds on the participation in a USD 250 million funding round for a leading Russian video-on-demand service.
Advised RDIF on the joint venture with Alibaba, MegaFon and Mail.ru based on the AliExpress platform, creating one of the leading e-commerce businesses in Russia.
Advised Sberbank on the acquisition of a 46.5% stake in Rambler Group and Okko.
Advised Sberbank on the acquisition of a 45% stake in Yandex Market B.V.
Advised Alexander Tynkovan on the joint venture with M.Video and Sberbank based on goods.ru.
