  • Advised Hitachi on its USD 11 billion acquisition of a 80.1% stake in the Swiss engineering group ABB.
  • Advised a large Russian gas producer on a share swap with a Russian oil and gas company.
  • Advised Carlsberg on consolidating 100% of the shares in the largest brewery in Russia and Eastern Europe Baltika Breweries, including a public offer to buy a 15.45% stake for approximately USD 1.2 billion from minority shareholders and subsequent squeeze-out of the remaining shareholders.
  • Advised a Russian oil company on the establishment of a joint venture with an international energy company for exploration and production in Russia having a total asset base of approximately USD 840 million.
  • Advised Siemens on a EUR 2 billion contract for the delivery of regional trains to the largest Russian transport company.
  • Advised the shareholders of a large Russian gas producer on the sale of a 12% stake to an international energy company as part of a strategic partnership.
  • Advised a multinational tobacco company on structuring the buy-out of minority shareholders, squeeze-out matters and successful defense against corporate blackmail by a major Russian group.
