Vladimir has headed a number of projects for the localization of foreign products and technologies, as well as ensuring their compliance with the criteria for «Made in Russia» status. In addition, Vladimir actively advises technology companies on IT regulatory issues in Russia.

  • Advised Juniper on various legal aspects related to the importation and distribution in Russia of the client’s products.
  • Advised Schneider Electric on sanctions compliance in the framework of a project for establishing a joint venture between the client, a Russian investment company, and a number of co-investors.
  • Prepared a comprehensive legal advice describing the scope of applicable Russian laws and regulations in the sphere of export control and export licensing procedures for Oerlikon OSS CIS LLC, a world-leading provider of surface technologies.
  • Elaborated a defence strategy and provided a comprehensive legal support to a multinational clothing-retail company aimed at terminating the criminal investigation on the alleged customs evasion on the inclusion of license payments in customs value of imported goods.
  • Conducted an audit of the world-leading corporation for the manufacture of microprocessor, CPUs and video cards’ projects in connection with the development of various programs and technologies in Russia, including artificial intelligence, and their compliance with the Russian requirements of export control.
  • Advised a multinational pharmaceutical company in connection with the contemplated change of the supply chain structure for Russia and the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), including Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Belarus and Armenia.
  • Assisted a multilateral development bank with understanding the application, applicability and conformity with international sanctions targeting Russia in connection with the provision of debt financing to a major Russian company and two international financial institutions for implementing a number of significant infrastructure projects in Russia in the field of telecoms, water supply and transportation.
  • Advised one of the largest and world-renowned companies developing construction toys for children on certification of imported products in Russia.
  • Represented a major Russian importer and manufacturer of agricultural products on customs self-disclosure submission related to VAT underpayments.
  • Represented a multinational distributor of heavy machines and equipment in a dispute with the Russian customs authorities concerning confirmation of a country of origin of imported products and application of anti-dumping duties.
